Holy Family has dedicated itself to gathering into small church communities so that we can more fully become church for one another. The small communities are comprised of eight to fourteen adults (and occasionally children) who meet on a regular basis or seasonally in one another's homes for prayer, scripture, sharing, mutual support and outreach. The small communities share life and faith and seek to live out Jesus' great commandment to love. Small church communities are connected to the larger parish through Facilitators that meet or talk regularly with SCC Leadership Team members. Weekly gatherings are for six weeks in the fall and during Lent.

Many groups meet more often throughout the year by mutual decision of the group members. An invitation to form or join small communities is extended twice yearly in the fall and again before Lent. Small communities can also form at other times during the year, depending on circumstance and need and on the availability of a facilitator for the group. Individuals are welcome to join existing small communities at any time of the year.
